Renegade Game Studios and Hasbro renew their tabletop licensing agreement

Why this matters: our read

I read this as a renewal without detail: the release names the brands Renegade works with but gives no term or financial detail, so it does not say how long the arrangement runs.

Renegade Game Studios and Hasbro said on October 1, 2026 that they have extended their licensing relationship. Renegade holds rights to publish games based on Hasbro brands such as ROM the SpaceKnight, JEM, My Little Pony, M.A.S.K., Power Rangers, G.I. JOE and Transformers, and on classic tabletop games: Heroscape, Robo Rally, Ikusa, Acquire, Diplomacy and Axis & Allies.

Neither company gave a term or any financial detail. Marianne James, Hasbro’s senior vice president of global licensing, said the two expect to release games and expansions in 2027 and in the years after.

The announcement points to recent products such as Robo Rally Dice, Diplomacy: The Golden Blade and a Heroscape campaign called Secrets of the Citadel. On the roleplaying side, Renegade has second editions of its Transformers and G.I. JOE games in the works, both reworked for the newest 5th Edition rules. A new deck-building game and further Power Rangers titles were slated for reveal at Renegade Con this month.

Renegade’s president Scott Gaeta and Hasbro’s James each commented on the relationship in general terms; neither added specifics.
