Renegade ends its World of Darkness publishing partnership with White Wolf

Why this matters: our read

The notice settles who publishes from 2027. It doesn't say how stores reorder after that, and Renegade leaves White Wolf to explain its own plans.

Renegade Game Studios said that it will stop publishing World of Darkness tabletop roleplaying games at the end of the year. From 2027, White Wolf will handle development and publishing of the line itself.

Renegade’s FAQ sets out the wind-down. Through the end of 2026 it will keep selling the games through its own webstore while supplies last, and answering customer and community questions. After that it will stop selling the titles at all. Books already announced are still scheduled, and the last two Renegade releases are a Vampire: The Masquerade book called Courts of the Damned and, for Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Tribes of Gaia, both listed for release in October 2026.

Our publishing partnership with White Wolf will be wrapping up at the end of 2026.

Renegade Game Studios

Organised play, convention games and community programs run by Renegade will continue through year end, and from 2027 ongoing community and tabletop RPG support moves to White Wolf. Renegade says there is no bad blood. Digital files that customers already bought stay available in their webstore accounts, though they will no longer be offered for new purchase.

Renegade says White Wolf will explain its own plans for the line. The notice does not address how stores that stock World of Darkness books will reorder after 2026.
